I just love the bright yellow dipped cookie, the moon, against the fun mini oreo black bat. Fun and clever if I do say so myself. 😉

Here’s how I made these and here are the supplies I used.
Basically 2 ingredients (technically 3 because I needed two sizes of cookies). Awesome, right?! I used yellow Candy Melts. If you prefer, you can use regular white chocolate died yellow. If you go that route you may need to add a little oil to thin the chocolate and avoid seizing the chocolate.
Once the candy melts were melted, I dipped one-half of the large cookies into the yellow chocolate and set aside on a sheet of waxed paper to harden.
While the large chocolate covered cookies were hardening, I split the mini Oreos to reveal the cream filling. With the cream filling on one side (use this sid for the body of the bat), I broke the non-cream side in half for the wings. Using a small amount of cream as glue on each wing, I attached the wings to the bat body.
After the chocolate-covered “full moons” were hardened I lightly pressed the bat onto the cookie.
Viola! That’s it! Quick and easy right? I love treats like this.
If you are heading to a Halloween party or potluck and would like to take a treat, take these! Everyone will love them and you will have time to spare. 😉
Will you be trick-or-treating this year or will you be the designated candy giver? I think I’m going to try taking the little ones around a block or two but turn in as the candy giver… with this baby coming in only a few short weeks, we don’t need to shorten that time. LOL
