Sometimes it’s hard to get your kids to eat their vegetables. With these green fruit & veggie otter pops, they won’t even know they’re getting an extra boost of veggie goodness along with delicious pineapple, kiwi, and banana. I love that!
These otter pops are really easy to make. The popsicle mixture only takes a few minutes to make and it only takes a few minutes to fill the bags. Pop them in the freezer and voila! Homemade green fruit and veggie otter pops your kids will love.
Here’s what you’ll need to make these fruit & Veggie popsicles:
Green Smoothie ingredients (recipe is below or on the first page)
- apple juice
- frozen pineapple
- (optional) greek yogurt
If you get otter pop bags that are about 4 oz, this recipe will yield 4-5 popsicles depending on if you add greek yogurt.
All you have to do is put all the ingredients into a blender. As you may already know, I love my Blendtec, you can find one here. You blend all the ingredients for 45 seconds to 2 minutes until the smoothie is smooth. No frozen fruit chunks.
Next, you fill the otter popsicle bags using a funnel. Be careful not to overfill the funnel. if you do it may overfill the baggie and turn into a sticky mess. Not what anyone wants, right? You’ll want to leave about a half inch of air space at the top of the bag so you can zip it closes and leave room for the mixture to expand during freezing.
Lastly, pop those yummy green popsicles in the freezer until they are firm. Freeze them for at least 6 hours but we usually freeze ours overnight. If we make these in the morning, we end up having little hands checking them in the freezer every 30 minutes. LOL
All that’s left is to have a taste test! I hope you all have a great back-to-school!
