Easy Rosemary Garlic Artisan Bread

Yield: 1 loaf
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 35 minutes
Total Time: 40 minutes

This amazingly easy no-knead crusty Rosemary Garlic Artisan Bread will make you look like an artisan bread master. It's fool-proof with only 6-ingredients!

Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp yeast, I use dry instant
  • 2 tbsp garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh rosemary, finely chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups warm water

Instructions

  1. Mix all dry ingredients, rosemary, and garlic together.
  2. Add warm water.
  3. Mix until dry ingredients are fully incorporated (about 2-3 minutes)
  4. Cover with plastic wrap and let rest for 6-12 hours.
  5. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. Place dutch oven in oven as it preheats.
  6. Pour rested dough onto well-floured surface.  Form into ball.  Let rest for another 30 minutes.
  7. Cut an "x" on the top of the dough ball then carefully place dough into hot dutch oven. 
  8. Bake covered (with lid on dutch oven) for 25 minutes. Then uncover and bake for an additional 10-12 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.

  2. If you not a bug fan of rosemary and just want to use garlic? How much? Can you use dry herbs? How much? Thank you

    • Hi Sheila! Yes, you can use dried herbs. I prefer the flavor of fresh but have used dry when I don’t have access to fresh. You can substitute the garlic using about 1 teaspoon dried garlic powder. I hope this helps. We love this bread. It’s especially great when you don’t want to be making a shopping trip for fresh bread every week.
