I love Fall! The changing leaves, the cool crisp air, the anticipation of the holidays. To celebrate I have the perfect Happy Fall gift with free printable. After making pesto, rosemary and Italian herb butter, and pasta sauce we still had a lot of herbs left… so I thought why not share the flavor? That’s just what we did. With the help of my two little ones, we made little herb gifts and added this cute little Happy Fall Gift Tag to share our flavorful abundance with friends. Adding this gift tag to a fun flavorful item is a great way to wish a “Happy Fall” to your friends and family.
We have a couple awesome little herb boxes next to our home. This year they went crazy (in a good way). We ended up with such an abundance of Italian basil, Thai basil, sage, rosemary, thyme, oregano, a little dill weed and cilantro (that reseeded at the end of the summer) that we decided to give it away. As the temperatures started falling, it was time to use or lose these beautiful aromatic herbs. After making several things (heavy on the herbs), we still had a ton left so we decided to share the yumminess with some of our friends through an unexpected “Happy Fall! herb bouquet.
These were so simple and I think they turned out so cute. All of our friends absolutely love them. We started by taking a little clipping from each herb we were including in the gift. In our case it had rosemary, oregano, Italian basil, Thai basil, Sage, and spearmint. It smelt heavenly in our kitchen! Then we wrapped all the ends in a moist paper towel and placed it into one of our little cellophane bags.
Then we created these cute little tags. They are really simple but simple is good. We figured “season” and “flavor” would be the perfect words to use on this herb Fall gift. We are including a printable at the bottom of this post.
Next we printed and cut the gift tags out, punched a cute little heart in the corner and tied them on with gold curling ribbon. That’s it! This tag would be great on all kinds of things not just herbs (brownies, a cookie mix, bread and jam, homemade grape juice, etc). Your neighbors will love them. Happy gift giving and Fall celebrating!
