Air Fryer Sweet Potatoes are crispy, tender, and seasoned just right. A fast, flavorful side dish that's perfect for any meal.

Ingredients
  

  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder divided
  • ½ teaspoon salt divided
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 lb sweet potatoes peeled and cut into ½-1 inch cubes
  • 1 tablespoons oil if desired

Method
 

  1. Preheat air fryer to 400°F.
  2. In a small bowl, blend all the spices together.
  3. Peel and cube sweet potato. Soak in cold water for 10-30 minutes.
  4. Dry potato pieces then place the cubes into a gallon size Ziploc bag. Pour oil and sprinkle spice blend over sweet potatoes. Zip bag closed. While holding the zipper part of the bag, shake to coat.
  5. Carefully pour the seasoned potato chunks into the preheated air fryer basket. Make sure they are placed in an even layer to ensure even cooking.
  6. Cook at 400°F for 11–14 minutes shaking the basket half way through (around 5–7 minutes). Cook to your preferred doneness.
  7. Serve immediately when done.

Notes

  • For crispier sweet potatoes, soak the cubes in cold water for 10–30 minutes to remove excess surface starch. Drain and dry thoroughly before seasoning.
  • Feel free to add additional garlic or other spices.
  • Looking to make these spicy? You can add a pinch of cayenne pepper or 1/4 teaspoon of red chili flakes to kick up the heat.
