Giant Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich

Ingredients
  

  • 1 loaf french bread or garlic french bread toasted
  • 1-1.5 lbs ground beef 15% fat or less
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper chopped
  • 2 Tbs flour
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • 3 cups shredded cheese cheddar, cheddar jack or provolone

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350ºF.
  2. Saute onions and peppers.
  3. Add ground beef and brown.
  4. Sprinkle flour over meat mixture and stir until thickened.
  5. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Add 1 1/2 cups cheese to hot meat mixture.
  7. Pile meat mixture onto toasted french bread. Sprinkle remaining cheese on top of meat mixture. Add the second piece of french bread.
  8. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until bread is heated through and cheese is melted.
