Ingredients
- 1 loaf french bread or garlic french bread toasted
- 1-1.5 lbs ground beef 15% fat or less
- 1 medium onion chopped
- 1 green bell pepper chopped
- 2 Tbs flour
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- 3 cups shredded cheese cheddar, cheddar jack or provolone

Method
- Preheat oven to 350ºF.
- Saute onions and peppers.
- Add ground beef and brown.
- Sprinkle flour over meat mixture and stir until thickened.
- Add salt and pepper to taste.
- Add 1 1/2 cups cheese to hot meat mixture.
- Pile meat mixture onto toasted french bread. Sprinkle remaining cheese on top of meat mixture. Add the second piece of french bread.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes or until bread is heated through and cheese is melted.
