Ingredients
- 12 oz fresh cranberries
- 1 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1-2 tablespoons orange zest
- 6 oz raspberries fresh or frozen
Method
- In a 2-quart (or larger) saucepan, add all the ingredients—cranberries, sugar, orange juice, zest, and raspberries.
- Place the pan over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
- Allow everything to simmer until the berries soften and start to break down, about 5-10 minutes.
- Once the mixture becomes thick and saucy, remove it from the heat.
- Transfer to a quart-size jar or storage container and let it cool completely.
- Store in the fridge until ready to serve—it’ll only get better with time as the flavors blend!

Notes
the homemade cranberry sauce will continue to thicken as it cools.
