Biscuits and Gravy Muffins

Make tasty Biscuits and Gravy Muffins with classic flavors in an easy, hand-held form!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 can 8ct Jumbo Biscuits, split in half to make 2 circles (you should end up with a total of 16 circles)
  • 1 cup Precooked Sausage about 140g, crumbled or diced (see notes)
  • 1 cup Country Pepper Gravy homemade or store-bought; homemade recipe in notes

Method
 

  1. This recipe makes 16 muffins. If using a 12-count muffin pan you will need two pans.
  2. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  3. Spray muffin tin with nonstick spray.
  4. Press one half biscuit circle into each hole of the muffin tin. Press biscuit dough to the bottom and sides of the cavity to remove any air bubbles.
  5. Add about 1 tablespoon (15g) of precooked sausage to each dough cup.
  6. Top with about a tablespoon of gravy.

  8. 7. Bake muffins at 350°F for 13–18 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown around the edges.
  9. 8. Remove from oven and let cool about 5 minutes. Enjoy!

Notes

If using Jimmy Dean precooked sausage, you will need about:
  • Precooked patties – 1 pack of 4 patties (about 140g) diced
  • Precooked links – 1 pack of 6 links (about 140g) diced
If using uncooked sausage, you will need about ½ lb.
Easy Country Gravy Recipe (White Gravy or Pepper Gravy):
Ingredients:
1 Tablespoon butter
1 ½ Tablespoons flour
½ teaspoon pepper
1 cup milk
Pinch of salt
Instructions:
  1. In a small saucepan over medium to medium-high heat, melt the butter. Once melted, add flour and whisk until fully wet.
  2. Add pepper and salt, then cook for 10–15 seconds. Carefully pour in milk. Whisk until the flour mixture is fully dissolved and no lumps remain.
  3. Bring to a slow boil. The gravy will begin to thicken after about 1 minute. Once thickened, remove from heat and set aside.

Note: This gravy continues to thicken as it cools, so make it right before assembling the muffins.
