Easy Pizza Muffins

Easy cheesy and full of classic pizza flavors disguised as a hand-held muffin and ready in 30 minutes or less. Perfect for game day, snack or easy weeknight dinner.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 tube jumbo biscuits 8 ct, split in half so each piece is about 1/2 inch thick. You will have 16 biscuit pieces.
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1-1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese shredded
  • Optional toppings : parmesan cheese chili flakes, pepperoni, slice olives, sausage, mushrooms, onions, etc.

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Carefully split each biscuit in half horizontally to create 16 pieces.
  3. Lightly grease a regular-size muffin tin. Gently stretch each biscuit piece and press it into each muffin cup.
  4. Add about 1 tablespoon of pizza sauce to each dough cup, followed by a sprinkle of shredded mozzarella cheese and any desired toppings.
  5. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the edges of the dough turn golden brown.
  6. Remove the muffin tin from the oven and let the pizza muffins cool in the tin for about 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Feel free to serve your pizza muffins with a side of marinara sauce, ranch or garlic butter sauce.
  • If you want extra flavor, sprinkle parmesan cheese or chili flakes on top before baking.
  • If jumbo biscuits aren't available you can use regular-size biscuits (do not split) or pizza dough in a tube (found in the same area as biscuits in a tube/can.
