These rustic noodles are perfect to add to your favorite noodle soup or smother in sauce (creamy or marinara).  Homemade Egg Noodles are quick and easy to make and taste delicious.  These tasty noodles make my Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup over the top. Homemade Egg Noodles | KitchenCents.com Here’s what you’ll need.  The full printable recipe is below. Ingredients | KitchenCents.com First step, place all the ingredients in a mixing bowl. Step 1 | KitchenCents.com You will then mix all the ingredients together until it forms a dough.  It will probably be a little sticky; that’s ok. 🙂 Step 2 | KitchenCents.com Next, flour your work space.  I like using a silicone baking mat because it won’t slide around and makes easy cleanup. Step 3 | KitchenCents.com Pour the noodle dough out onto your floured work space.  Start kneading the dough.  You can add a little flour if the dough sticks to your hands. Step 4 | KitchenCents.com Knead the dough until it’s smooth and let it rest in a bowl for a few minutes.  If you try to roll it out without letting it rest it’ll be very elastic-y.   You’ll have a hard time rolling it thin enough. Step 5 | KitchenCents.com After the dough has rested, split it into two balls.  Roll each one out to 1/4 to 1/8 inch thick then cut the dough into 1/4 inch wide strips.  I like using a pizza cutter or long chef’s knife for this part.  Set strips aside on a floured cookie sheet or surface until you’re ready to use them.  Try to avoid stacking them because they will be more likely to stick together. Step 6 | KitchenCents.com Add these to your favorite noodle soup or boil like pasta and serve with your favorite pasta sauce.  If you are adding them to your broth soup, make sure your broth is boiling before dropping the noodles in.  Boil for 3-5 minutes or until the noodles begin floating.  That’s it.  See the photos below for a perfect use of these wonderful noodles. Homemade Egg Noodles | KitchenCents.com They are so good especially in Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup. You’ll definitely want to check that recipe out! I’ve loved these noodles since the first day I made them.  My mom’s a FACS teacher in the town I was raised in. It was one of the fun recipes we were able to make in her class.  Thanks mom for the recipe. Let's eat Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup | KitchenCents.com
